This year my writing has improved because I focused more on details and explaining my quotes more. I have also gotten better at citing the quotes. At the beginning of the year I didn't do so well with those.
I also had trouble with properly citing quotes. For me it was honestly a pain, because I felt like I was always doing them wrong. As I did them more and more, I actually got comfortable with using and citing them.
